Il Rifugio offers the ultimate in privacy. It is rented by the owners to individual parties. There are no nearby neighbors, apartments, or other guests in the house. The villa is constructed in the traditional old style with stone walls inside and out. The ceilings are made with large chestnut beams and terra-cotta bricks. The floors are terra-cotta tile.

Inside, you will find all the modern conveniences with a large fully equipped gourmet kitchen that includes a fireplace, walk-in pantry, dishwasher, a professional stove with gas burners and 2 electric ovens, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, American coffee machine and plenty of pots, pans and utensils. There are eleven rooms plus five and one half bathrooms and three fireplaces. The five bedrooms have in suit bathrooms with walk-in showers and hair driers. The first and second floor have spacious sitting rooms. Also on the first floor is a formal dining room, an elegant but cozy living room with a wood-burning stove and a bathroom.

The house will comfortably accommodate up to ten people with the possibility of an eleventh person in a den. There is Internet access throughout the house and the surrounding gardens. Every room has at least one US electrical wall plug nearly eliminating the need for adapters but we still have adapters if necessary.
